Fishodoro is a mobile app that gamifies the Pomodoro technique using a soothing, customizable background that rewards you the more you get done.
Customizable space to relax between breaks
To-do list to keep you on track
Earn decorations the more you do!
How Pomodoro works:
Pick a task
Work for enough time to find your focus
Take a short break
Every 4 pomodoros (steps 1-3), take a longer break, equal to one work session or shorter
Why Pomodoro works:
Pomodoro habitualizes taking breaks, incentivizing your brain to maximize the focus it achieves within the timeframe you give it. If you tend to be overly optimistic in your daily goals, be a perfectionist, or procrastinate, Pomodoro was built for you!
Tuned to perfectionists, procrastinators, and workaholics
Makes tasks easier to start
Boosts motivation
Deters multitasking
Our Story
What started as a weekend project between friends has grown us farther than we ever thought possible. We initially created Fishodoro for RIT’s Brickhack 11, a 24-hour coding competition in February 2025. Since then, we continued development through MAGIC Spell Studio’s Traver Program, an incubator for creative student projects in technology.
Four friends, your goal:
Our goal is to help creative students like you get more things done, by giving you a cozy and relaxing environment. The Pomodoro technique has been proven to reduce burnout, and we want to make using Pomodoro as fun as can be. With the help of a fish pond to endlessly decorate, we can’t wait to see you and your fish flourish!
